Buyers only do not have to register with and only need an email account, and can immediately log in without email verification. The email isn't verified like previously. I did this to improve conversion rate (turning lookers into buyers), however, the drawback is Buyers must open communications with the Seller. There are three ways to do this: 1. BEFORE you make the purchase, fill in your personal data in the Member's area, Personal Info. 2. There is the ASK SELLER located at the bottom of each description. You can make it public or private question. You must be signed in to use this feature. 3. Go to the Member's area, click on Won Items, to the right of the item title will be MESSAGE BOARD... click on that and give the seller your shipping info. Non-paying bidders are not tolerated. And the same as with not providing seller's with shipping infomation. Sellers aren't mind readers. THE BUYER MUST PROVIDE SHIPPING INFO. If not, its the same as a non-paying bidder, even though you may have paid already. Seller/buyers still have to jump through all the hoops of verification and be PayPal verified. And Buyers can become sellers by completing the personal information and becoming PayPal verified. Q. I did not receive my activation email. What now?
A. Due to new spam busting email regulations, you will need to add admin@alsoshop.com to your email address book. Of course, these regulations do not apply to the spammers. You must be able to receive automated email from AlsoShop.com. To Set up your seller's account, you must verify your PayPal account. Use the Credit You Account for a secure PayPal page. As soon as this has been verified, your seller capabilities will be turned on. Verification is $2.50. This is non-refundable. You will be given $25 in site credit to be used for any payment such as item enhancements, sales commissions, store, or banner ads. The credit is not eligible for withdrawing for cash or paying another member. After the verification is complete, log out, close all browser pages, then log back in. This will reset your account.
Account closings cannot be performed while listings are active.
To close your account, remove all active listings and disable your store. This will allow for a future return should you so decide.

Buyers and Sellers message board This can also be accessed by clicking on SOLD ITEMS or WON ITEMS and clicking on the message board link associated with the specific item. OR a potential buyer can contact the seller from a listing, provided they are registered and logged in, (prevents spamming by non members). New unread messages will be shown on the member's landing page and an automated email will be sent stating New Message has arrived. Click on the sender's name to open the message. Click inside the message box to reply, click ADD MESSAGE to send. |
